ALAN LANGRIDGE, BA Hons Music, ARCO
Alan began his musical journey as a child in South London by trying out tunes and chords on his neighbour's piano. Later he was able to have lessons on the piano as well as violin, viola and singing. He first played the organ as a teenager when his local church needed a new organist. It wasn't until he got to Leeds University that he was able to start organ lessons; this was with Peter Seymour, a renowned organist and teacher and specialist in Early Music.
Since then Alan has played in many settings for many different types of occasion. He has a passion for creating memorable musical experiences that enrich every occasion, and revels in the opportunities created by Penge Music to try out the remarkable sonorities of the Penge Instrument, and share his love of organ music with many local residents; now able to experience at first hand both the gentle sensitivity and all-encompassing thrill of the instrument.
Alan has the following qualifications and certificates:
* Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Music, University of Leeds
* Associate diploma of The Royal College of Organists (ARCO)
* Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances
* Enhanced DBS certificate
